The Nah Challenge

Hello, Visionaries! Let's work on figuring out what it is you're meant to be doing here.

You have a calling, you feel it. But yet you're not sure what you're supposed to show up and do.

So we're gonna figure that out.

I want you to bring something to mind that you're rolling around.

For example, maybe I'll become an organic farmer. Maybe I'll start an ethical investing fund. Or I'll run a food bank.

Whatever it is. Anything that you've been kind of rolling around your mind. I want you to put it in your mind right now.

Imagine we're friends talking and I'm listening to you. I say, "Tell me what it is you're thinking you'd like to do?"

Go ahead and say aloud what you were thinking.

I shake my head and respond...

..."Nah, it's not that. I don't think it's that."

What's your first reaction to that statement? What did you feel when I said that to you?

That's going to be a huge indicator.

If I am here as your friend listening to you, and I tell you, "Nah, it's not that."

And then you have a reaction, "Yes it is! It's that!"

Or you go, "Yeah, it might be a little off."

Or you might go, "You're right. It's completely not that."

What happened inside of you? Just that first gut reaction you had to what I said.

And that's going to give you a lot of information.

Having another person push back on your ideas gives a good reflection of what feels right and true for you.

It's obviously best if you have a friend ask questions and probe into your ideas.

But you can also record yourself asking the questions.

Ask yourself questions like you would ask a friend.

Then play it back and see how you feel when you question yourself about what it is you truly desire.

Even the questions you come up with can point you towards what really matters to you.
